Happiness is not around the corner!

Some live their life wanting to be successful, few follow their passion, something that sets their soul on fire. Some thrive for peace, whereas others seek happiness. I am the fourth kind. I believe everything in my life should revolve around my happiness, at least the things I do have control over.

We hear kids, teenagers and young adults falling into stress, depression, anxiety and so many other things. While these are all natural human emotions and reactions that our body produces to certain circumstances the fact that it affects such young minds at a tender age is still a very big concern.

The first thing we need to ask ourselves is what is the purpose of life? And what is the purpose of YOUR life? The answers you seek may even take a lifetime but shouldn’t that be the thrust behind your actions. Life is the most wonderful thing you could receive and to be born as a human with emotions and a sixth sense tops it. We have a certain gift that enables us to be who we are and with great power comes great responsibility.

Living your life on your own terms is the most independent thing you could do. But we humans have adopted a systematic approach for all that we do in our life starting from the foundation of learning, starting school at the age of 3 and completing it when you are 18, where you are allowed to read only what is taught and in the high school being forced to take up a stream no matter how much you hate it and it doesn’t stop there you enter because let’s face it being a graduate is the most basic criteria for a job no matter how talented you might be. And finally getting a job which may or may not have to do with what you have been taught and getting stuck with a routine which you may or may not enjoy and living for those little moments of relaxation on a weekend hating your whole life and not knowing where it is headed. So where does it go wrong?

I won’t say to entirely ditch the whole system because the fundamental of its purpose is to teach us a factor called discipline which is very essential for human life. But the problem is we take it all way too seriously than we should and lose whole of our individuality and become clones of one another.

I honestly believe people give their best when they are happy, and that is what is lost in people’s lives. People place their happiness on people or things or something tangible while they should be their own source of happiness because when you choose someone or something as your source you lose control over your own happiness. It is no longer about you but them. Which is why we should stop looking for happiness all around us and start searching within. Do things that brings you happiness, eat something that makes you happy, be with people who keep you happy. Analyze yourself, appreciate yourself, try and be a better person than you were yesterday. Any form of happiness that doesn’t genuinely affect another human being is a pure form of happiness.

This may be easier said than done but we all at least got to try. When everyone starts being happy with themselves that’s when they actually bring a positive impact on what is around them. Make it a habit to be happy. Stop searching for happiness around the corner seek it within. There may be times that are tougher and it gets more difficult along the way and it is okay to feel tired, but at the end of the day you need to try harder. Because the one has the talent of seeing the best in the worst is the one who takes it all. No matter how hard you try, life always throws you a curve ball in the most unexpected times but never let adversity take over you. Believe that you are stringer than that. Believe you are miracle. Believe there is a bigger picture and this is a small tiny glitch. Never stop yourself from expressing be it good or bed. The more negative energy you store inside you the more negative person you become.

Try to see the best in everything and enjoy each and every moment life has to offer. Do whatever you can to the ones around you and the planet you live in. Be your own critic and a cheer leader. Love people, get inspired, make mistakes, be flawed, try harder, be you and don’t you dare be ashamed about it.
